Friday Top Five – Volume 13: We don’t feel so good…
Here at Fried Tofu we have unfortunately fallen sick as of late; Susan coming down with a stress and lack of sleep related head cold in August (?!?) and Morgan thinking she had appendicitis and going through many tests in the ER one day (turned out to be something else, not just in her head), then was slammed with seasonal allergies. Fortunately we are getting better thanks to some of our remedies listed here in our Friday Top Five. This is what makes us feel better when we are sick or just plain stressed out. Stay healthy out there, fall is on it’s way.
Neck massager. I don’t know what took me so long to finally buy one of these. I keep all of my stress in my neck and shoulders and this inexpensive and portable massager does a great job of untying the knots in my neck after a long day of work.
Yogi Organic Tea. Throat Comfort. Cold Season. Immunity Support. You name it, Yogi Tea has the remedy your are looking for to make you feel better.
Ginger. Mom and Grandmom’s cure all was Ginger Ale. Crystallized ginger is a natural way to relieve motion sickness. Pickled ginger is my favorite part of sushi dinners. We drink Reed’s Ginger Brew all the time just because we love it. It’s healthy, makes you feel better and it tastes good.
Neti Pot. Kind of gross, but kind of awesome, clearing out your nasal passages has some awesome abilities to relieve the itchiness, dryness, ickiness and congestion that comes with cold and allergy season. Just be sure to follow the directions carefully!
Hot Toddys. The perfect drink for a cold night or at night when you have a cold. A soothing comibination of tea, whisky and perhaps a squeeze of lemon juice, drinking this at night will help you drift off to sleep without having to take shot of Nyquil.
